Here are 9 ways I have found that help me be more positive (even on bad days)
1. Stop watching the news first thing in the morning! It will only depress you more. Trust me... if the world is going to end today, someone will stop and tell you!
2. Laugh More! You should laugh at least 5 minutes a day (smiling for 20 minutes in row will do the same as laughing for 5)
3. Start listening to comedians. Preferably clean comedians - if you can find one.
4. Meditate. To start with... close your eyes and imagine a small child laughing for 30 seconds. If this doesn't put a smile in your heart... watch kids laughing on YouTube...
5. Read/Listen to positive/motivational books/Cd's.
6. Go for a quick paced walk. This will balance the toxins in your body, help you stay healthy and possibly help you lose weight.
7. Practice Alpha breathing for 3 minutes every morning. This will get you the oxygen you need for your brain and body. When have enough oxygen you can think more clearly and thus solve problems in a more expedient way.
8. Drink water. Yes even I had to give up my 6 pack of Diet Mt. Dew everyday. 8 oz of water in 5 minutes create 2 endorphins that help lower stress levels.
9. Do something nice for someone special! YOU!!! Take care of you first so you have more to give to others.
